Reverse OTP Feature – Mobile Verification
Steps to Follow:
1. The Reverse OTP feature ensures that every eligible voter can securely access the voting system even if they face issues receiving a regular OTP via SMS.
2. When a voter clicks “Get OTP” on the login page, the system waits for 60 seconds. If the OTP is not received, a yellow “Trouble receiving OTP?” button appears.
3. Clicking this button opens an alert box showing alternative verification options.
4. If the voter’s login ID is a mobile number, a virtual number and an OTP code are displayed.
5. The voter can either call the virtual number from their registered mobile number or send the OTP code via SMS to that number.
6. Once the system verifies the call or SMS, access to the voting system is granted within 30 seconds.
7. Voters can also use the QR code displayed on the screen to automatically send the SMS from their registered mobile number without manually entering the details.
This ensures secure and uninterrupted access to the voting platform.
Reverse OTP Feature – Email Verification
Steps to follow:
1. The Reverse OTP feature also supports voters who use email IDs as their login credentials.
2. If the OTP is not received after clicking “Get OTP”, the “Trouble receiving OTP?” button appears after 60 seconds.
3. Clicking the button opens an alert box displaying Right2Vote’s Verification Email ID and a unique Verification Code.
4. The voter must send an email containing this code from their registered email ID to the provided Right2Vote verification email address.
5. Once the system verifies the email, the voter is automatically granted access to the voting system within 30 seconds.
6. A QR code option is also available to automatically open the email with the verification code pre-filled, helping voters avoid manual typing errors.
This feature guarantees accessibility, reliability, and uninterrupted voting for all voters.
Online voting in government elections in India

(National elections / Lok Sabha elections, Rajya Sabha elections, State elections or the Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad elections, Local body elections including municipal and panchayat elections). 33% of the Indian population is not able to vote due to lack of online voting option.
We are sorry that you are being denied your right to vote. We at Right2Vote have been raising our voices for your right to vote with the government, the politicians, the election commissions and the judiciary for more than 8 years now. As citizens of India, you have the right to vote and you should fight for your right to vote online. We request you to write to the Election Commission of India (ECI), President of India, and Chief justice of India (CJI) requesting for an option to vote online. Unless you insist on an online voting option you will not get the option.
